Meet Mz.Inkbomb: Miika Coffey, Tattoo Artist from Inglewood, CA
Let me tell you about Mz.Inkbomb, aka Miika Coffey, a true talent straight out of Inglewood. She’s not just another tattoo artist—she’s someone who’s lived it, built it, and keeps repping for her city while creating some of the most meaningful ink in the game.
From the Block to Building a Legacy
Miika’s story started in 2008 when her son was born. Like a lot of us, she had side hustles—working part-time gigs and braiding hair to make ends meet—but something clicked when she picked up a tattoo machine. She walked away from all of it, betting on herself with zero guarantees.
By 2009, you could find her tattooing at Slauson Tee’s, a little spot on Slauson and Crenshaw. It was there that she caught the attention of Nipsey Hussle and his brother Blac Sam. It wasn’t an easy co-sign—she had to prove herself. Someone even said, “Yeah right, you don’t do tattoos.” Miika didn’t waste words; she picked up her gun and got to work right there on the spot. That day marked the beginning of a buzz that rippled through the neighborhood. Later, Nipsey himself rolled up and invited her to his studio. The rest? That’s inked into history.
Pushing Through and Proving Herself
Being a woman in a male-dominated industry isn’t for the faint of heart, but Miika’s never been the type to back down. Add to that the hustle of raising her son solo and learning life lessons the hard way—like opening her first studio and stepping away just months later. Still, she’s powered through every obstacle with faith, determination, and her son watching her every move. He’s her biggest fan, and she’s out here making sure he knows nothing is out of reach.
Ink with Soul
Mz. Inkbomb isn’t just a name—it represents artistry, passion, and cultural expression. Miika’s work speaks deeply to the culture, showcasing her expertise in both Black & Grey and Color Tattoos. Whether crafting intricate monochromatic designs or enhancing pieces with vibrant touches of color, her work is a testament to her sharp linework, unmatched creativity, and dedication to storytelling. Clients leave her chair with more than just tattoos—they carry meaningful, personalized art that brings their stories vividly to life.
When you sit in Miika’s chair, it’s more than a transaction. She makes the experience real, connecting with you so your tattoo isn’t just art—it’s a piece of you. That’s what sets her apart: her authenticity, her hustle, and her relentless passion for what she does.
Rooted in LA
Born and raised in SoCal, Miika’s proud to represent Inglewood and Los Angeles. Her art pulls from the energy of the city—the beaches, the music, the late-night taco spots. But she also sees the struggles, like the rising cost of living and the growing homelessness crisis, and stays grounded in how she can contribute to her community.
